Cavalier Antigua White
A clear rum distilled from fermented molasses. Aged at least 2 years in used American bourbon barrels.
The landed gentry of Antigua have produced their own rums for centuries. Originally, this was done on an amateur, small-scale basis, though even then the Antiguan rums certainly had their own style. During the early 1900s, rum shops distilled and blended their own rums and in 1932 a group of rum vendors amalgamated to form the Antigua Distillery. Toward the latter part of the 20th century, the global trend for consumers was leaning more toward light and white spirits. In accordance, the company started to produce Cavalier Antigua Rum a much lighter rum.
