Cottons restaurants is London’s longest-running Caribbean brand with rum shacks in Camden, Vauxhall, Notting Hill and Shoreditch.
We as a group of individuals pride ourselves in offering a truly Caribbean experience through authentic quality food, delicious cocktails and exemplary service.
Cottons Restaurant story began back in 1985 with the opening of the first ever Caribbean restaurant in Camden on the edge of the hustle and bustle of Camden on Chalk Farm Road. Offering a complete Caribbean experience with weekends filled with plenty of music (and jerk chicken), Cottons Camden quickly established itself as an institution and the go to place for Caribbean diner across London.
Following the creation of the now infamous Boxpark in Shoreditch, Cottons decided to join the party and opened his second branch as a pop-up experience within the park in 2013 before moving to a permanent location on the hip and cool Curtain Road where Cottons Shoreditch was finally settled for good! Cottons Shoreditch offers a speedier dining experience and pre party atmosphere.
The expansion continued with the opening of the third Cottons restaurant (2016) in the cosmopolitan and vibrant neighborhood of Notting Hill home of the annual famous Carnival. Located just a stone's throw from Notting Hill Gate tube station, Cottons Notting Hill offers a casual dining experience in a laid back atmosphere with exceptional décor.
Cottons Vauxhall, latest addition to the Cottons brand opened in 2017 and features a laid back family atmosphere ideal for groups with the taste of the Caribbean right on the river Thames with views to die for. Enjoy a delicious cocktail at this enviable riverside location on the south bank, featuring an indoor restaurant and rum shack bar and additional seating on the sunny river-facing outside terrace.
OUR FOOD & DRINK
Cottons food, drink and trademark colourful interiors are all totally tropical, reflecting the spirit of island life which is centred around an authentic, innovative Caribbean menu. Our Caribbean menu is uniquely inspired by the islands of the Caribbean - from Antigua to Jamaica.
Our signature Cottons dishes include jerk chicken with rice & peas; homemade curried mutton and Cottons most popular vegetarian dish Chaguanas Dinner Plate - chana dhal curry served with black eyed bean, chickpea and callaloo fritters, and plantain. All our jerk meats at Cottons are grilled and smoked over coals and oak wood chips with hickory and pimiento just like they do in the Caribbean, our jerk dishes are also covered in Cottons homemade jerk sauce.
Each Cottons hosts over 300 different types of rum sourced from a worldwide collection. Cottons Notting Hill currently holds the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® title for the bar with the most types of rum commercially available (372).
Cocktails are predominantly rum-based featuring Cottons originals like Koko Sop, Cottons Punch (a powerful blend of Wray & Nephew overproof rum, orange, guava, pineapple juice, grenadine); and Killer Duppy made from four different rums, apricot liqueur, curacao, orange, pineapple and lime juice.
